Arunachal Police Officer found murdered at his residence

Sources said that the assailants had stripped and tied him up before slitting his throat. A native of Kollam, Kerala, late George, aged around 50 years, was serving as section officer (SO) in the DGP Cell of PHQ here. He has been staying alone.

A case was registered under Sections 302/201 of Indian Penal Code at the Chimpu Police Station and an investigation launched. No arrest has been made in this connection, the PRO said, while adding that police is working on this case.

“No one has been arrested so far but few people have been detained,” Itanagar SDPO Kamdam Sikom, when contacted, said without revealing much detail.
