Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00pm of Wednesday, Manipur reported 11 deaths due to Covid 19, 752 new positive cases from the general population and 8 from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF). Meanwhile, 446 recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 11 persons who expired on Wednesday include 4 each from Imphal East and Bishnupur 2 from Imphal West aand 1 from Churachandpur. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1229.
Of the 752 persons (362 males, 390 females) from the general, the population who tested positive 247 are from Imphal West, 166 are from Imphal East, 82 of them are form Churachandpur, 76 from Kakching, 75 from Bishnupur, 42 from Thoubal, 17 from Seanpati, 7 each from Chandel, Noney, Tengnoupal and 5 from Ukhrul and 1 from Jiribam.
Meanwhile, 446 persons recovered and were discharged, which include 175 from home isolation, 139 from CHICs, 115 from CCCs, 11 from RIMS and 6 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state dips further to 89.55%
The cumulative number of positive cases is 74,341(General Population – 70,448and Central Security Personnel – 3,893). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 66,578 (General Population – 62,789 and Central Security Personnel – 3,789). The number of active cases is 6,543 (General Population – 6,435 and Central Security Personnel – 99).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1914D type Oxygen Cylinders and 438B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur. District hospitals and government institutions have 406D type 92B type filled cylinders out of which Bishnupur (100D, 2B), Chandel (33D, 7B), Churachandpur (69D, 92B), Senapati (43D, 0B), Thoubal (60D, 26B), Ukhrul (29D, 18B), Tamenglong (19D, 0B), Jiribam (48D, 13B), Moreh (14D, 4B), Kangpokpi (3D, 0B), Kamjong (3D, 2B), Kakching (4D, 18B), Noney (2D, 0B) and Pherzawl (6D, 2B). CCCs have 340D and 123B filled oxygen cylinders available Wednesday.
26,944 persons were vaccinated on June July 6, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 7,96,051(1st dose 7,07,184, 2nd dose 88,867).
