Vaccine Express Vehicles flagged off for low vaccinated areas

Khaikhopau Ngaihte said that three teams will concentrate on different schools and colleges within the district and 6 other teams will go to low vaccinated villages.

Churachandpur: As the state is rushing to vaccinate more people, Additional DC (Development) Khaikhopau Ngaihte flagged off 10 ‘Vaccine Express’ vehicles at District Immunization Office, Churachandpur Tuesday to help speed up the district’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign. 

Speaking on the occasion, Khaikhopau Ngaihte said that three teams will concentrate on different schools and colleges within the district and 6 other teams will go to low vaccinated villages.

He urged medical teams to provide accurate scientific information about the vaccine and explain its importance in the fight against the pandemic.” We are hoping to vaccinate 80-90 percent of the population by the end of this month”, he added.

Ngaihte also urged the village chiefs, village authority members, youth clubs to help and support the medical team and provide them with food and shelter during their stay 

The teams will interact with the villagers and spend a night or two in different villages to vaccinate maximum number of people.
