Chandel: The district-level culmination programme of Jan Sevak Mahakumbh under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan was held today at the Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Chandel, commemorating the completion of 25 years of public service by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mamoni Doley, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chandel, appreciated the concerted efforts of all departments and frontline workers in the successful implementation of the month-long campaign. A total of 8,423 participants took part in activities across 147 venues, while 1,680 participants were recorded at 84 Anganwadi centres.
Emphasising the need for sustained public service, the Deputy Commissioner urged departments to strengthen awareness of welfare schemes and ensure effective last-mile delivery of benefits. Appreciation Certificates were distributed to competition winners and acknowledged the contributions of frontline workers. She also inspected departmental stalls.
Benefits were distributed to beneficiaries through various departments, while achievers were felicitated. Success stories highlighting the impact of government welfare initiatives were screened by District Information Officer, DIPR, Chandel.
SDOs, DLOs, officials, frontline workers, students and local residents attended the programme.
