Chandigarh: Famous Punjabi folk singer Gurmeet Bawa passed away at a hospital in Amritsar Sunday morning.
She was 77 years old and had been ill for some time. She had a record of 45-seconds-long “Hek” i.e. breathless opening of a Punjabi folk song called “Ho”. She had received many national and international honours.
