Chingkheihunba Polo Club wins overall team championship

The Chingkheihunba Polo Club won the overall Team Champion trophy along with a cash prize of Rs.10,000/- while the Runner-Up trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 5000/- went to Imphal Riding Club.

Imphal: On the final day of the 17th Ningthoukhongjam Tombi State Equestrian Championships, 2024, organized by the Manipur Equestrian Association, the final of three events was held.

In the Open Arambai Target Hit, Th Jacob of Imphal Riding Club won the Gold medal, N. Premanenda of Chingkhelhunba Polo Club won the Silver medal  and Dollar Soram of Thangmeiband Youth Polo Club won the Bronze medal.

In the Women Tent Pegging (Lance), Kh. Daventy Devi of Imphal Riding Club won the Gold medal, Th. Sanajaobi of Chingkheihunba Polo Club won the Silver medal while the Bronze medal went to Neelu Rajkumar of Chingkheihunba Polo Club.

In the Senior Tent Pegging (Lance) Team competition, Thangmelband Youth Polo Club team comprising of Alex Aheibam, S. Saolin, W. Abothe and Dollar Soram emerged winner. The 2nd position went to the Imphal Riding Club – B team of Th. Basanta, Th. Jacob, L. Atangba and L. Kokeshore and the Manipur Police Sports Club – B of  SI Viking Salam, Constable M Surjit Singh, Rifleman Y Binoy Singh and Constable M Devnath Singh secured the 3rd position.
