Manipur’s active cases down to 366 Friday

Imphal: One person succumbed to Covis-19, 28 persons from the general population tested positive and 45 persons recovered and were discharged in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday in Manipur, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Thoubal, he had co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1980.

Of the 28 persons who tested positive from the general population, 17 are from Imphal West, five from Imphal East, three from Churachandpur, two from Bishnupur and one from Ukhrul.

 Altogether, 1,794 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 1.6 %.

Meanwhile, 45 persons recovered and were discharged, four of them from home isolation, 26 from CCCs and 13 from JNIMS and . The recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.13 %.

For various reasons, 273 persons are reported as discharged cases only Friday, therefore, the total discharged persons is taken to be 324 after reconciliation with reports of the IDSP team, home isolation team, community home isolation team and hospitalization team as on December 3.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,297 out of which 1,22,951 have recovered leaving 366 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on December 2, 2021, is 7,588, the cumulative number of doses administered is 21,75,817 (1st dose 12,86,256, 2nd dose 8,89,566).
