Imphal: Manipur reported one Covid related death, 50 new positive cases (46 general population, four CAPF)while 40 persons recovered and were discharged, in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal East, he had no co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated for Covid. With this death, the state’s cumulative tally now stands at 1963.
Of the 46 npersons who tested positive from the general population, 18 are from Imphal West, 15 from Imphal East, three each from Bishnupur and Chandel, two from Kangpokpi and one each from Kakching, Kamjong, Seanpati, Tengnoupal and Ukhrul.
Altogether, 2,346 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 2.3 %.
Meanwhile, 40 persons recovered and were discharged, five of them from home isolation, 27 from CCCs, seven from JNIMS and one from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.88 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,007 out of which 1,22,357 have recovered leaving 687 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on November 22, 2021, is 6,401, the cumulative number of doses administered is 21,12,237 (1st dose 12,71,884, 2nd dose 8,40,353).
