Imphal: Taking a serious view of the fact that even after the expiry of the time period, the magisterial inquiry has failed to unravel the facts leading to the death of Sanaton Athokpa, a 5th-semester MBBS student of RIMS, the Justice For Sanaton Athokpam organized a meeting of various civil society organisations at Khurai Lainingthou Awangba shanglen.
The meeting took various resolutions. Â The first one stated that as even after one month, RIMS authority and the investigating agencies have not made public any findings of the investigation, the meet holds that the competent authority of RIMS is complicit in the death of Sanaton Athokpa.
It also called for the immediate suspension of Director, Dean (Academics) of RIMS and the Hostel Warden. The meet called for taking up an FIR on the murder of Sanaton Athokpam, make public the post mortem report, and related investigation report and immediate arrest and questioning of the hostel warden.
The CSOs which took part in the meet also decided to unitedly launch an agitation to translate the above resolutions into action.
