Hyderabad: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, received a threatening email on Sunday night, warning of a potential hijacking on the Hyderabad-Dubai flight.
The email specifically mentioned the need to exercise caution regarding Thirupathi Baadineni, whose passport number is R8124604. According to the message, Baadineni is an ISI informant and is allegedly planning to hijack the HYD to DXB AI951 flight. It also claimed that several individuals at HYD airport are connected to Thirupathi and urged authorities to apprehend them.

The email warned of dire consequences for India if action was not taken swiftly, alleging that Thirupathi had ISI contacts accessible through his mobile device.
In response to this threat, CISF personnel promptly halted the departure of the HYD to DXB AI951 flight, which was moments away from taking off. Following a thorough inspection, three passengers—Tirupati Badineni, L. Vinod Kumar, and P. Rakesh Kumar—were taken into custody and handed over to the police.
All remaining passengers on board were accommodated on another flight bound for Dubai, according to police sources.
A case has been registered, and an ongoing investigation is underway, the sources added.
