Dhaka: Amnesty International’s South Asia campaigner Saad Hammadi has said the spate of attacks by radical mobs against members of the Hindu community, their homes, temples and Durga Puja pandals are “symptomatic of the growing anti-minority sentiment” in Bangladesh.

He has urged the Bangladesh government to take urgent steps to protect the members of the minority Hindu community in the country against any attacks and ensure access to justice and effective remedies for the victims, UNB reported.
