Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying tribute to the founder leader of LJP and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said on Sunday that young leaders can take lessons from the life of Mr Paswan.
On the occasion of the first death anniversary of Ram Vilas Paswan, Modi wrote a letter to the president of LJP (Chirag faction) Chirag Paswan MP from Jamui Lok Sabha seat and the son of late Mr Paswan and paid tribute.
Chirag Paswan shared the letter of the prime minister on his Facebook and extended his gratitude towards him for offering homage to the departed leader.
In the letter, Modi describing Ramvilas Paswan as a leader who always strongly raised his voice for Social Justice stated that he was his close friend. Mr Modi further stated that a void in the political field has been created with the demise of Mr Paswan which he was felt strongly.
Paswan gave a new direction to the consumer’s rights and the Public Distribution System, said Modi, adding that the youth in politics can learn from the life of such a great personality.
Even after attaining the height in politics he was always available for his workers and stood by them in all circumstances, he maintained.
Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who had strained political relations with Chirag Paswan though could not attend the function organised to mark the first death anniversary of late Paswan but he paid his tribute to the departed leader.
Paying tribute to Ram Vilas Paswan BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi described the leader as the most sensitive person who cared for each and every class.
