Chandel: Joupi, Chandel District, 18 September 2026: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), observed Hindi Diwas 2026 at Joupi as part of the ongoing Hindi Pakhwada being held from 14 to 28 September 2026. The initiative was designed to promote the use of Hindi, enhance linguistic awareness and reinforce the spirit of national unity and integration among personnel.
As part of the observance, a Hindi language competition was organised, drawing enthusiastic participation from 32 personnel. The event provided a meaningful platform for participants to demonstrate their proficiency in Hindi, while encouraging greater interest in the official language. The competition highlighted the importance of Hindi as a medium of communication and its role in fostering interaction, mutual understanding and camaraderie among personnel from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
The programme concluded on a positive note, with participants displaying keen interest and active involvement throughout. The initiative not only strengthened linguistic harmony but also underscored the unifying role of Hindi in bridging differences and nurturing a shared sense of identity among the Force.
