New Keithalmanbi: The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)-136 of 65 NCC Girls Battalion, Manipur, was successfully conducted at New Keithalmanbi Garrison from 09 to 18 September 2026, facilitated by Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South).
The ten-day camp witnessed the participation of 198 NCC cadets, supported by NCC training staff and civil personnel. The programme provided a structured platform for cadets to imbibe discipline, confidence, leadership and teamwork through a balanced schedule of physical, military and personality-development activities. Training included physical fitness sessions, drill, tactical training, map reading and .22 rifle firing. In addition, specialised sessions by Assam Rifles instructors enhanced cadets’ understanding of tactical awareness and fieldcraft skills.
The camp culminated on 18 September 2026 with a vibrant closing ceremony featuring a cultural programme that showcased the rich traditions and heritage of Manipur. Prizes were awarded to winners of sports and competitions held during the camp, recognising excellence and team spirit among the cadets.
Assam Rifles officials and personnel provided comprehensive logistic and administrative support throughout, ensuring smooth conduct of training and extracurricular activities. The successful completion of CATC-136 strengthened the enduring association between Assam Rifles and the NCC, offering cadets an enriching experience that fostered discipline, teamwork, service and national pride, while preparing them to emerge as responsible citizens and future leaders.
