Lucknow: After several patients infected with the new variant ‘Delta +’ of the coronavirus are being found in many states of the country, Uttar Pradesh government has sounded high alert and have instructed all the concerned departments to take special precautions.
According to experts, this time the variant is more dangerous than before.
The State Level Health Expert Advisory Committee has prepared a detailed recommendation report to prevent this.
According to the report, it can be more harmful for children of all age groups. All necessary steps should be taken as per the advice of experts without delay.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath while interacting with his Team-9 members on Friday said public awareness should be made through the members of the State Level Health Expert Advisory Committee and other senior doctors so that people get the right information.
Cooperation from the media world should also be taken, CM said.
CM said ‘Genome sequencing’ of more and more samples should be done for in-depth investigation of the delta+ variant of Covid. “Sequencing should be done by taking samples of people coming to the state by railway, bus, air route. Samples should also be taken from districts”, he said.
According to the result, mapping of Delta+ effective areas should be done. This will facilitate rescue efforts. Necessary arrangements should be made in KGMU and BHU to facilitate genome sequencing in the state, he added.
Meanwhile, the preliminary results of the sero survey conducted in the past has given a good signs.
According to preliminary results, high level antibodies have been confirmed in people in the survey. ” We have to understand that everyone’s role is important in this fight against the virus. We have to incorporate covid prevention practices like double mask, sanitization, two yards in our lifestyle. Avoid overcrowding. A little carelessness can turn out to be very heavy,” CM said.
