Imphal: A combined team of Narcotic Cell, Imphal East, a team of Irilbung Police Station, a team of Porompat Police Station and members of Youth Athletic Development Association (YADA) of Kshetrigao arrested two persons from Kyamgei Maning Leikai, near Oil Pump and seized 158 gram (approx) of Heroin Powder No.4 on June 23.
The arrested persons have been identified as Md. Abdul (32 yrs) son of Md. Kyamuddin of Hiyangthang Tarahei, Imphal West and Md. Angou (27 yrs) son of Md. Amu of Hiyangthang Tarahei, Imphal West (Constable Driver presently posted at Narcotic Cell, Imphal West). The combined team also seized one Honda Activa from their possession.
The arrested persons along with the seized items were handed over to Irilbung PS for further necessary legal action. In this regard, a case has been registered at Irilbung Police Station, as per a press note from the PRO Manipur Police.
On the other hand, a team of Thoubal police commandos arrested one person namely, Md. Adaf Khan (28 yrs) son of late Md. Ajimuddin of Sangaiyumpham Pt-II, Cherapur Makha Leikai from Wangjing Heirok crossing and seized 120 nos. of SPAS-TRANCAN PLUS, 210 nos. of N-10, 157 nos. of WY tablets and 4.74 gram of suspected Heroin No.4 from his possession on June 23, 2021.
The arrested person along with the seized items was handed over to Thoubal Police Station for further legal action. In this regard a case has been registered at Thoubal Police Station, said a press note from the PRO, Manipur Police.
