Sikkim House passes Rs 360 cr supplementary demand for grants

The supplementary demand for grants for the 2022-23 financial year was presented by Chief Minister PS Tamang, who also holds the Finance portfolio.

Gangtok: The Sikkim Legislative Assembly on Tuesday passed the Supplementary Demands for Grants worth Rs 359.72 crore.

The supplementary demand for grants for the 2022-23 financial year was presented by Chief Minister PS Tamang, who also holds the Finance portfolio.

The gross additional expenditure of Rs 359.72 crore consists of Rs 20.03 crore on Revenue Account, and Rs 339.69 crore on Capital Account.

It will have net Cash outgo of Rs 343.07 crore. 

Tamang thanked newly elected Speaker Arun Kumar Upreti for systematically conducting the sessions and the members for their valuable participation.

Around 12 other bills, introduced on Monday were also passed before the assembly was adjourned sine-die.
