Gangtok: The Sikkim government on Monday constituted a committee to look into the alleged irregularities in the state civil services examination.
The committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Education, Ravindra Telang, has four members.


The Secretary, Department of Personnel, is the Member Secretary. The other three members include Aksahay Sachdeva, Special Director General, Police, Tashi Cho Cho, Secretary, Home Department and Tushar Gajanan Nikhare, District Magistrate, Gangtok.


The high-powered committee shall co-opt the services of any other government officer, if necessary. It would submit its report within 21 days.


The representation(s) on alleged malpractices during the said exam on January 16 will be examined by the panel, which would also probe the accuracy of complaints and irregularities alleged to have taken place during the conduct of the Sikkim Services (combined recruitment) Examination.
