Churachandpur: As part of a thematic continuation of service-oriented outreach under the broader Seva Sankalp framework District Administration, Churachandpur today organized with the theme, “ Water and Sanitation,” at Mualveng, Hiangtam Lamka Sewa Kendra under Lamka TD Block, Churachandpur Sub-Division.
The programme was held under the supervision of Shri S Thienlaljoy Gangte, SDO/BDO, Churachandpur through convergence with concerned departments of the ASKs.
During the observation, various citizen-centric services were provided. The PHED addressed grievances related to water connection issues and created awareness on clean drinking water, water conservation and Jal Jeevan Mission.
The BDO Office facilitated services related to Job Card, MGNREGA, Viksit Bharat – GRAM G and PMAY-Gramin etc. The Health & Family Welfare Department through ASHA workers and health staff conducted health check-ups, screening and awareness on hygiene and sanitation among others.
The programme was attended by officials and staff of PHED, Water Resources Department and BDO Office, along with ASHA workers, health staff and a large number of villagers from Hiangtam Lamka and adjoining villages.
