Churachandpur: District Election Officer (DEO) and Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur Krishna Kumar, IAS today chaired a first meeting of District Nodal Officers appointed for the forthcoming General Election to the State Legislative Assembly, 2027 at the conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Complex, DC’s office, Tuibong.
The meeting was convened to discuss matters relating to election preparedness and the discharge of responsibilities assigned to the respective Nodal Officers to ensure the smooth conduct of the election.
During the meeting, power point on the role and responsibilities of the Nodal officers appointed were presented and key areas of election preparedness were discussed. The DEO directed all the District Nodal Officers to start working on their assigned responsibilities efficiently following the instructions given by the Election Commission of India from time to time.
He also instructed them to assess relevant data, prepare estimates and identify logistical requirements within their respective areas of responsibility in accordance with ECI guidelines. Queries and concerns raised by some Nodal Officers were also discussed and clarified during the meeting.
