Gangtok: Former Sikkim Chief Minister P K Chamling on Wednesday called on Tibetan spirtual leader the Dalai Lama, who is on a trip to the state.
During the audience with the spiritual leader, Chamling was blessed, as was his colleagues who accompanied him.
“Thanked His Holiness for visiting Sikkim and blessing people, especially after the spate of disasters that the State had to face,” said Chamling.
The Dalai Lama responded by saying, “My blessings are always there for all the sentient beings of this Earth”.
The Dalai Lama said he was fond of travelling to locations like Sikkim where there are so many people who love and believe in him.
