Jammu: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday morning reached the Naushera sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district to celebrate Diwali with Army personnel.

Prime Minister will be celebrating the festival of Deepawali with Indian soldiers in the forward areas of Naushera.

Earlier, he arrived at Jammu technical airport from where he left for Naushera.

In 2019 too, Prime Minister celebrated the festival with the jawans in the Rajouri district.

Top Army Commanders are also accompanying the Prime Minister. They will also be briefing the Prime Minister on security scenarios.

Chief of Army Staff General M M Naravane on Wednesday arrived at Rajouri and visited the forward areas. He also reviewed the prevailing security situation along the border.

Notably, the counter-insurgency operation in the Bhatadurian forested area of Mendhar in Poonch has entered the 25th day on Thursday.
