Pherzawl: Students across Pherzawl district gave colour to their hopes and aspirations for the country as schools organised drawing and painting competitions under the theme “India of Dreams (Art Seva)” as part of the ongoing month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026.

The competitions, organised by the Zonal Education Office, Pherzawl, were held at Parbung Hr Secondary School, Leisen High School, Kangreng Government High School, Leijangphai High School and Sinzawl Government High School.

A large number of students and teachers participated in the activities with enthusiasm, turning the initiative into a platform for young minds to express their vision of the India they aspire to see.

Through pencil portraits, landscapes and other creative interpretations, students portrayed their dreams and ideas through art. The initiative provided them an opportunity to communicate their aspirations beyond the classroom while encouraging creativity and self-expression.

The activities are part of the “India of Dreams–Art Seva” component of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan being observed in Pherzawl district. Similar activities, including essay competitions, are scheduled to be conducted in other schools in the coming days to widen student participation.

Meanwhile, a free health camp and PMJAY card distribution programme was also organised today as part of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan campaign by the Health Department in collaboration with the District Administration, Pherzawl, at CHC Parbung. A total of 53 people attended the health camp.
