One death, 172 positive cases Thursday in Manipur

The lone deceased person was from Imphal West. He had had co-morbidities had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2075.

Imphal: One person succumbed to Covid-19, 172 persons (170 general population, two CAPF) tested positive and 222 persons recovered and were discharged in Manipur in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 170 persons from the general population who tested positive, 48 are from Imphal West, 44 from Imphal East, 20 from Churachandpur, 13 from Kakching, nine each from Bishnupur and Tamenglong, eight from Thoubal, seven from Ukhrul,  three each from Senapati and Tengnoupal, two from Noney and one from Chandel. Altogether 1,858 persons were tested which amounted to a positivity rate of 9.3 %

Meanwhile, 222 persons recovered and were discharged, 178 from home isolation, 27 from CCCs, five from JNIMS and 12 from RIMS. Due to various reasons, 1,107 persons were declared as discharged only on Thursday. So the total persons discharged is considered as 1329 after reconciliation with the IDSP team Home Isolation  Team, Community Home Isolation team and Hospitalization Team as on February 10The recovery rate of the state stands at 96.70 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1,35,530 out of which 1,31,058 have recovered, leaving 2,397 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on February 9, 2022, is 8,973, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,05,772 (1st dose 14,73,908, 2nd dose 10,86,122) and precautionary dose 45,437.
