No death reported Saturday, cumulative remains at 1882

Of the 145 persons who tested positive from the general population, 79 are from Imphal West, 32 from Imphal East, nine from Thoubal, six from Ukhrul, five each from Bishnupur and Chandel, three from Churachandpur, two each from Kakching, Kamjong and Senapati.

Imphal: After a long time, Manipur did not report any Covid related death in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday. During the same period, there were 147 new positive cases (145 general population 2 CAPF) and 114 recoveries during the same period, as per an official release from the health department.

Of the 145 persons who tested positive from the general population, 79 are from Imphal West, 32 from Imphal East, nine from Thoubal, six from Ukhrul, five each from Bishnupur and Chandel, three from Churachandpur, two each from Kakching, Kamjong and Senapati. 

Altogether, 2,229 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 6.6 %

Meanwhile, of the 114 persons recovered and were discharged, 30 are from home isolation, 76 from CCCs, 2 from CHIC, 4 from RIMS and 2 from JNIMS. 

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 21,853 out of which 1,18,255 have recovered leaving 1,716 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on October 8, 2021, is 11, 073 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 17, 60,027 (1st dose 12,32,350, 2nd dose 5,34,577).

The total numbers of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on October 9 is 536 out of which 431 are general beds while 105 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available at various CCCs of the state on October 8 is 3372 out of which 560 are occupied while 2812 are vacant.
