Imphal: Brigadier SR Sharma, SM, VSM, Group Commander of NCC Group HQ, Imphal, visited Churachandpur district on Monday, where he engaged with staff and students at Churachandpur College, Rayburn College, Rayburn School, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV).
During his visit, Brigadier Sharma met with the principals and teachers to discuss the logistics, challenges, and strategies for successfully organizing NCC training in these institutions. He emphasized the importance of national integration and encouraged greater participation of youth in nation-building efforts.
Addressing the NCC cadets and the school community, Brigadier Sharma highlighted the role of NCC in shaping responsible citizens and contributing to societal growth. He also reflected on the significance of the NCC’s motto, “Unity and Discipline,” underscoring its relevance in today’s context.
The event concluded with the singing of the NCC song, which embodies the core values of the organization. As the world’s largest uniformed youth organization, NCC continues its mission of empowering young people and instilling discipline through regular training and activities.
