Srinagar: Former lawmaker and senior National Conference leader Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Thursday resigned from the post of district president Ganderbal.

Ishfaq announced his resignation on tweeter. “I’m resigning from the post of District President @JKNC_ Ganderbal & I will continue to carry forward the mission of Sher-e-Kashmir for which the people of J&K have sacrificed @OmarAbdullah,” he tweeted.

The former MLA Ishfaq is the son of late Sheikh Abdul Jabbar, a known political activist and an associate of NC founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.
