Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland yesterday increased to 68 new cases, pushing the total number of COVID -19 cases to 28,072 and the death toll to 577.
According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin Wednesday, among the 68 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from ten districts of Nagaland with 19 cases in Dimapur, 15 cases in Kohima, 14 in Mokokchung, four in Mon, four in Phek, three in Peren, three in Tuensang, two in Kiphire, two in Zunheboto, one in Longleng and one in Wokha, taking the total caseload to 28072.
On the recovery of patients, 99 COVID-19 patients recovered from the virus, 37 from Kohima, 28 from Dimapur, 18 from Mokokchung, nine from Tuensang five in Phek, one in Longleng and one in Wokha, taking the total recovery to 25,437. There were 1300 active cases in the state. There are total 1261 active cases, of them 1015 cases are asymptotic, 188 are with mild symptom, 28 are moderate with oxygen, 12 are severe with oxygen, 10 critical in ICU without ventilator and eight are in ICU with ventilator.
With three more COVID-19 patients dead, one in Dimapur, one in Kohima and one in Mokokchung succumbed to the infection, pushing the death toll to 577.
