Imphal: A Mizoram Policeman was killed and 11 other personnel of Mizoram Police were injured in an accident on Wednesday near Tamenglong college, Tamenglong district.
Five of the injured who sustained serious injuries were rushed to Imphal for treatment.
A vehicle carrying the personnel of Mizoram SAPF (2nd IR Battalion) met with a self accident according to police. Police identified the deceased as Lalawmpuia.
They were on duty for the second phase of the Manipur poll to be held on March 5 at Tamenglong district. Police said the road was narrow and the driver could have lost control while driving.Â
