Manipur logs one death, 32 positive cases, 28 recoveries

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Wednesday, Manipur reported one Covid-related death, 32new positive cases (28 general population, 4 CAPF) and 28 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus was from Kangpokpi. She had co-morbidities and had taken the 2nd dose Covid vaccination. The cumulative death toll of the state now stands art 2,113.

Of the 28 persons from the general population who tested positive, 12 are from Imphal West, four from Imphal East, two each from Thoubal, Kangpokpi and Bishnupur and one each Kakching, Senapati, Tamenglong, Tengnoupal and Ukhrul.

Altogether 1,397 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.3 % 

Meanwhile, 28 persons recovered and were discharged, 17 of them from home isolation, six from CCCs three from RIMS and two from JNIMS. 

The recovery rate of the state stands at 98.23 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 835 out of which 1, 34, 416 have recovered leaving 306 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on March 1, 2022, is 3,004, the cumulative number of doses administered is 27,12,114 (1st dose 15,12, 114, 2nd dose 11,39, 965) and precautionary dose 59,733.
