Manipur logs 11 positive cases, nine recoveries Monday

Of the 11 persons who tested positive, four are from Churachandpur, two from Ukhrul and one each from Imphal West, Imphal East, Ukhrul and Bishnupur.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Monday in Manipur, 11 persons tested positive for the coronavirus while nine persons recovered and were discharged. During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 11 persons who tested positive, four are from Churachandpur, two from Ukhrul and one each from Imphal West, Imphal East, Ukhrul and Bishnupur. Altogether, 482 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.3 %.

Meanwhile, nine persons recovered, six of them from home isolation, two from JNIMS and one from SHRI. The recovery rate of the state as of Monday stands at 98.39 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 620 of which 1, 37,373 have recovered leaving 102 active cases in the state.

As on August 21, 2022, 134 D-type oxygen cylinders and 40 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 22, 2022 is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which eight are occupied and 30 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which seven are occupied and 55 are vacant. 

 The total number of doses administered on August 21, is 894 the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,55,413 (1st dose 16,24,994, 2nd dose 12,96,938) and precautionary dose is 2,33,481.
