Imphal: Ahead of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election, D Korungthang, Congress MLA from Tengnoupal Assembly constituency has resigned as an MLA.
K Meghajit, Secretary of Manipur Legislative Assembly issued a bulletin here on Tuesday stating that consequent upon the resignation of the 42 Tengnoupal Assembly seat has been declared vacant.
Manipur will go to the polls soon and the state is awaiting the formal declaration of poll by the ECI. Korungthang has not yet announced which party he will join.
