Agartala: Manik Saha will take over as the new Chief Minister of Tripura replacing Biplab Kumar Deb who resigned on Saturday.
Saha a was elected as the leader of the BJP legislature party a couple of hours after Deb put in his papers following the instruction of the BJP leadership.
“Congratulations and best wishes to Dr Manik Saha ji on being elected as the legislature party leader,” Deb twitted.
“I believe under PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s vision and leadership Tripura will prosper,” Deb said in another tweet.
