South American striker Maria Urrutia then scored a goal in the 14th minute and Chile took control of the game with an early 1-0 lead against India.

The rest of the half passed by without much of action as Linthoi and her defence kept the Chilean attack at bay with her amazing organisation. In the second half, India looked high on spirit and much more dangerous till the break.

In the 66th minute, India retaliated with the help of Manisha and the 20-year-old substitute Dangmei Grace, whose shot was saved by Endler.

A couple of minutes later, the Chilean were removed at the halfway line and Manisha went ahead and made another save from the 30-year-old Endler.

While India was rising in stature, Chile quick fired by scoring twice in the space of two minutes through Isidora Hernandez (84′) and Karen Araya (85′) and wrapped up the game.

India suffered their second successive loss in the tournament and will play their last game of the International Football Tournament against Venezuela on December 2.
