Imphal: Armed rebel group Manipur Naga People Front (MNPF) expressed strong condemnation of the killing of Former Zeliangrong Boudi Athuan Abonmai. In a statement, Thomas Numai, Secretary Publicity of the MNPF, said that such an act of killing without proper trial by the GPRN – NSCN-IM, is a clear revelation of the political immaturity of the party.
The killing of a public leader of a specific community by kidnapping is an insult not only to the leader but to the hold community, the statement said and added that killing of valuable people taking advantage of the free movement provided to them by GOI showed that the NSCN-IM has forgotten the issue of Naga Sovereignty.
