With 166 more positive cases Monday, Manipur’s total cumulative cases reach 1,20,000

Imphal: Manipur reported only one Covid related death, 166 positive cases and 129 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday, as per an official release from the health department.

The lone person who succumbed to the death was from Imphal East and with this, the cumulative death toll in the state rose to 1,847. The person who expired did not take the Covid vaccination.

Of the 166 persons who tested positive, 52 are from Imphal West, 30 from Imphal East, nine from Ukhrul, six from Chandel, four each from Bishnupur and Churachandpur,  three each from Kakching, Kamjong and Senapati and one each from Kangpokpi and Tamenglong.

Altogether, 1,853 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 6.3 %.

Of the 139 persons who were discharged, 49 are from home isolation, 57 from CCCs, 15 from CHICs, four from RIMS and nine from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 96.70 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,20,000 out of which 1, 16,573 have recovered leaving 2,11 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on September 26, 2021, is 831 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 16,71,136 (1st dose 12,19,632, 2nd dose 4,51,504).

The total number of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on September 27 is 545 out of which 441 are general beds while 103 are ICU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 25 is 3467 out of which 622 are occupied and 2845 are vacant.
