Four more Assam students arrive in India from Ukraine

They have been received by officials from Assam Bhawan. While the first person chose to stay with her local guardian from Delhi, the later three have been accommodated in Assam House.

Guwahati: Four more Assam students arrived in New Delhi on Monday from war hit Ukraine.

Gurpreet Kaur from Silchar, Dhritiman Victor Bhuyan from Kokrajhar, Panchi Mohan from Guwahati and Anisha Gogoi from Jagun arrived at IGI airport New Delhi via flight no 6E 12 from Istanbul on 2/3/22, an official statement said.

They have been received by officials from Assam Bhawan. While the first person chose to stay with her local guardian from Delhi, the later three have been accommodated in Assam House.

Transportation to Assam will be arranged accordingly, the release added. The Assam government has opened a helpline for people from the state who are stranded in war hit Ukraine.

The administration has also given WhatsApp numbers and email ids, along with a web link for people, who are still stranded in war-hit Ukraine so that they can reach out to the authorities.
