New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced a spoken English course for the youth to improve their communication skills in the language.

According to him, people aged between 18-35 years who have completed their schooling till intermediate leave at least would be eligible for enrolment.

The course will run for 3-4 months by Delhi Skill Entrepreneurship University while the assessment will be done by Cambridge University, Kejriwal informed.

“Youngsters who have completed their 12th and want to improve their English communication skills will find this course very useful. It would help develop one’s personality, and also improve the student’s job prospects,” he said.

The Delhi CM informed that in phase 1, as many as 1 lakh students will be trained in one year in 50 centers across the national capital which would be expanded subsequently.

He said the course fee is free but a security deposit of Rs 950 will be taken which is refundable post successful completion of the course. “It will be done only to encourage the students who are actually serious about the training,” Kejriwal added.
