Tengnoupal: As part of its sustained efforts to strengthen civil-military relations, foster mutual trust and enhance community engagement in the border areas, Assam Rifles organised an impactful programme titled “A Day with Company Commander” at Kwatha in Tengnoupal District on 02 August 2026. The initiative provided a meaningful platform for constructive interaction between security personnel and the local population, reinforcing the Force’s unwavering commitment towards promoting peace, harmony and inclusive development in the region.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 215 villagers, including students, youth, women and community leaders, reflecting the deep-rooted bond of trust shared with the security forces. During the interactive session, participants engaged directly with the Company Commander in an open and cordial environment to discuss matters of local importance and community development. The dialogue emphasized peace-building, responsible citizenship, and youth empowerment through education, positive values, and civic contribution.
To further strengthen camaraderie and social bonding, a series of recreational and sporting events were organised, featuring a Friendly Volleyball Match, Balloon Burst, Sack Race, Jalebi Catch, Spoon and Lemon Race, Musical Chair and Tug of War. Witnessing vibrant involvement across all age groups, these activities fostered teamwork and healthy competition while deepening friendship. The overwhelming response underscored the enduring goodwill and confidence enjoyed by Assam Rifles among border communities.
