Sampling & RT-PCR testing step up in Shimla in view of rising Corona cases

District Level Committee constituted for covid-19 vaccination was organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi here Saturday. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Surekha Chapra said so far 7. 83 lakh people have been given the first dose, 7.31 lakh have been given the second dose and 46.55 thousand people have been given the precautionary dose.

He said on the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, a vaccination campaign would run for the next 75 days in which people above 18 years of age would be given a precautionary dose.

On this occasion, District Panchayat Officer Vijay Bragta, District Program Officer Mamta Paul, District Ayurvedic Officer Dr. Pawan Jairath, DM HRTC Vinod Kumar Thakur, Deputy Director Education Department Ashok Sharma, and other officers were present.
