Jaunpur: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Friday said that the deadline for the campaign to make roads free from potholes across the state has been extended by 15 days.
On his way from Lucknow to Varanasi, Maurya was welcomed by party officials at the PWD crossroads in Jaunpur.

Maurya told UNI that the Public Works Department has decided to give an additional 15 days time to make the roads completely pothole-free in the state so that this campaign can be completed successfully. Maurya is also the Minister of the Public Works Department of the state. He said that under the SP and BSP government, roads were made on paper, in reality, nothing was done on the ground.

On the question of the problems being faced by the farmers due to the shortage of chemical fertilizers in the state, Maurya asserted that at present there is no shortage of chemical fertilizers in the state. He said that false propaganda is being spread by the leaders of the opposition party in this regard. Maurya said that in the places where there was a slight shortfall in the availability of manure, the problem was solved immediately. The truth is that manure is available in sufficient quantity in the state.

On the question related to the election preparations, Maurya said that in the upcoming assembly elections in the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the government again with more than 300 seats in 2022. He said that the state government is running on the principle of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas’. Everyone in the state is getting the benefits of the schemes without any discrimination.

Maurya said that the poor are being given free food grains till March 2022, along with one kg of pulses, one kg of oil and one kg of salt.
