Imphal: Civil Service Examination (CSE)-2022 topper Arvind Hanglem, a native of Singjamei, Imphal West, has been allotted Manipur cadre.
The 27-year-old will be posted in Manipur after the completion of his first-phase training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.
Mayanglambam Rajkumar, a 2016-batch IAS officer, Khumanthem Diana, 2016-batch and currently serving as the District Magistrate of Imphal East district and Dr L Angshim Dangsawa, 2019-batch IAS officer are some of the native people who got opportunities to serve their home state before Hanglem had.
Arvind did his schooling at the Imphal Public School, Chanchipur and finished 12th Standard at the Millennium Institute of Science, Kwakeithel, Mayaikoibi. He graduated with Physics Hons from Sri Aurobindo College, Delhi University.Â
The IAS officer, who loves reading reading books like The Princes and Political Agent by MK Binodini, Imphal Amasung Magee Eshing Nungshit Ki Phibam by Pacha Meetei, Sapiens by Uval Noah Harari, A History of the IAS by Deepak Gupta, and Mahatma Gandhi’s biography – My Experiments with Truths, said that he would consider going into academics and explore options if he had not become an IAS officer.
