Chandel: Demonstrating its enduring commitment to the welfare and well-being of its veteran fraternity, Assam Rifles organised a comprehensive Ex-Servicemen Meet at its garrison in Modi, Chandel District, Manipur. The event successfully brought together a total of 59 Ex-Servicemen, serving as a powerful platform to strengthen the lifelong bond between the Force and its retired personnel while formally recognising their distinguished service to the Nation.

Key focus areas included healthcare services, the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Canteen Stores Department (CSD) facilities, pension-related anomalies and various ongoing welfare initiatives. During the session, Assam Rifles officials actively apprised the attendees of available support mechanisms and institutional avenues designed for the timely redressal of grievances. The participants were warmly encouraged to share their observations, concerns and constructive suggestions.
