Imphal: It has always been an endeavour of the security forces to help local students from remote areas fulfil their ambitions.
In view of the above, the Loktak Battalion of HQ IGAR (South) organised a “Motivational Lecture” for Agniveer aspirants at Battalion Headquarters, Kangvai, District-Churachandpur (Manipur) on Monday.
The Loktak battalion took the initiative to gather around 21 aspirants from Kangvai and the contiguous area for the motivational lecture. The basic aim of this lecture was to impart knowledge on career prospects and the recruitment procedure to join the Indian Army under the Agniveer scheme.
The battalion assured all local youths of all kinds of assistance, including free registration, theoretical classes, physical training, and communication skills. The battalion has also organised mock tests for the Agniveer aspirants, which are scheduled for April 17, 2023.
The initiative was well received by the local youth of Kangvai and the contiguous area, who appreciated the efforts of the Loktak battalion in reinforcing their motto of being the “Sentinels of the North East”, according to a press note from the PROcell, IGAR(S).
