Imphal: With strong patriotic spirit, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Monday flagged off the “Har Ghar Tiranga” bike rally from Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal East. The rally was organized by the Manipur Police Department and saw the participation of thousands of bikers from across the state.
While flagging off the rally, the Chief Minister recalled that India gained independence on 15th August, 1947. Since then, the people of the country have been celebrating the spirit of freedom by proudly hoisting the national tricolour.
He said that Independence Day is observed across the country to mark the importance of that historic day. He urged all citizens to work together with unity and patriotism to achieve the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” and to build a strong India.
He also called on everyone to support Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of making India the strongest nation in the world.
Expressing confidence in the event, Khemchand Singh said he hopes the Tiranga Yatra will be a grand success and will help bring peace and stability to Manipur.
The rally was organized as part of the nationwide “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign aimed at promoting national pride and unity. The Chief Minister led the rally, which was also attended by Home Minister Shri Govindas Konthoujam. The rally began at Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal East, passed through National Highway 102, Khongjom War Memorial, Thoubal District, Kakching District and concluded at the 8th Battalion Manipur Rifles Campus in Leikun, Chandel District.
The bike rally was a strong display of patriotism, with participants waving the national flag and reaffirming their commitment to the progress and unity of the nation.
The flag-off ceremony was also attended by Art and Culture Minister Kh. Loken Singh, Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra and BJP Manipur Pradesh in-charge Dr. Ajit Gopchade, Keisamthong MLA Nishikant Sapam, Chief Secretary Dr. Puneet Kumar Goel, Security Advisor Kuldiep Singh, DGP Manipur Mukesh Singh, other senior police officers, senior government officials among others.
