Assam relaxes COVID 19 restrictions, opens cinema halls

The night curfew will be in effect from 10 PM to 5 AM across the state. All shops and other business establishments stay open till 9PM.

Guwahati: The Assam government today issued a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and further relaxed the COVID 19 restrictions as it decided to reopen cinema halls with 50 per cent capacity.

The night curfew will be in effect from 10 PM to 5 AM across the state.
All shops and other business establishments stay open till 9PM.

60 persons who are fully vaccinated can be allowed to visit the famous religious places and 40 visitors at other religious places will be allowed per hour.

Earlier, the state education department decided to re-open physical classes for all Degree and Postgraduate classes, all classes in Technical institutions/ Universities, B.Ed.

The government issued a fresh Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for both private and government educational institutions for resuming offline classes from October 1, 2021.
