Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday held a meeting with the delegation of Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) to discuss on streamlining the sports affairs in the state.
During the meeting here, Khandu assured full support for the growth of sports in the state.
Acknowledging the importance of AOA in the growth of sports, the CM urged the Sports Department to fully involve the Association in any decision-making.
Stating that Arunachal has made good progress in the field of sports in recent years, Khandu requested that focus must be on the schools, to identify the talents and nurture the youths from an early age.
The CM further announced to raise the annual grant in aid for the AOA.
The AOA delegation was led by its president Taba Tedir, who also holds the Education portfolio.
State Sports Minister Mama Natung was also present in the meeting.
