Active cases down to 330, positivity rate to 1.2% in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur saw a much improved Covid-19 scenario in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday, with no report of any death, just 17 new positive cases from the general population and 28 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department

Of the 17 persons who tested positive from the general population, eight are from Imphal West, five from Imphal East and two each from Bishnupur and Chandel.

Altogether, 1,474 persons were tested for a much improved positivity rate of 1.2 %.

Meanwhile, 28 persons recovered and were discharged, 10 of them from home isolation, 14 from CCCs, four from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.19 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,406 out of which 1,23,091 have recovered leaving 330 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on December 6, 2021, is 5,455, the cumulative number of doses administered is 22,01,399 (1st dose 12,92,766, 2nd dose 9,08,633).
