Kohima: Nagaland recorded 333 new cases of COVID-19, the single-day highest in the current year, in the past 24 hours, state Health Minister Pangnyu Phom said on Saturday.
Among the fresh cases, the highest 204 were registered in Dimapur, followed by 116 in Kohima, six in Mokokchung, four in Mon, one case each in Tuensang, Peren and Longleng.
In recoveries, a total of 19 more patients recovered, which comprises of 14 from Dimapur, four from Kohima and one from Mokokchung, Mr Phom said.
The total number of cases has now reached 15,913, of which the active cases are 2,711 while 12,559 people have recovered and 127 lost their lives since the outbreak of COVID-19.
