Churachandpur DC inspects development projects and public institutions in Singngat

The DC inspected ongoing construction at three Eklavya Model Residential Schools and the Community Health Centre at Singngat, directing agencies to ensure quality and timely completion.

Churachandpur: Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur, Krishna Kumar, IAS, along with officials today conducted an extensive inspection to Singngat Sub-Division covering inspection of ongoing developmental projects, public institutions and gracing the Seva Setu Abhiyan camp organized as part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

The DC inspected the ongoing construction works of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) at Mata Mualtam, EMRS at Sumchinvum village and EMRS at Singngat. He also inspected the under-construction Community Health Centre at Singngat and instructed the executing agencies to ensure quality and timely completion. The DC also visited Sumchinvum JB School Polling Station, Zezaw Primary School Polling Station, Panglian Upper Primary School, Singngat Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Singngat Police Station and other institutions. During the visit of Singngat Govt. Hr. Sec. School, the DC interacted with Principal S. Khaiminthang and inspected classrooms found attendance very low and advised the staff to be regular and coordinate with local authorities for the progress and devolopement of the school.

The DC also visited Community Health Centre (CHC) Singngat and inspected Laboratory, Medical Wards, Special Wards, X-ray, Ultrasound, ECG and other rooms and interacted with Dr. Steve M. Tungnung, Sr. MO, CHC and other staff.

As part of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, a comprehensive Seva Setu Abhiyan camp was successfully conducted at the SDO Office Complex, Singngat, under the supervision of Shri Samuel T. Lhungdim, SDO Singngat, with D. Rex Lengen, SDC as overall in-charge, which witnessed overwhelming public turnout. The DC was warmly received by D. Rex Lengen who presented a welcome bouquet and Zou traditional shawl (Zou Puandum). The DC inspected counters, interacted with the public, handed over bee boxes to beneficiaries and distributed CMHT and PM-JAY health cards.

During the camp, a wide array of line departments delivered services through single-window counters where the SDO Office issued income, caste, domicile certificates and affidavits on the spot, while Health conducted medical check-ups, free medicine distribution and enrolment under CMHT and PM-JAY, and Aadhaar Desk facilitated new enrolments, biometric updates and corrections, and Forest distributed free indigenous saplings with awareness on environment protection, and Agriculture and Horticulture disseminated technical know-how and inputs, and Central Bank of India, Singngat Branch, spread awareness on bank accounts and insurance schemes like PMJJY and PMSBY, and Social Welfare and ICDS screened and enrolled beneficiaries for various welfare schemes, with participation also from DIC-Churachandpur, MSRLM, PHED, MSPDCL and Veterinary & Animal Husbandry.
The drive concluded with a vote of thanks by D. Rex Lengen, SDC Singngat, who thanked the public, officials and frontline staff and Assam Rifles for logistical support in constructing tents and shelter infrastructure.

During the inspection the DC was accompanied by Seiminthang Lenthang, ADC-I, Shokhongam Baite, CEO, ADCC, Jameson Hangshing, PD, DRDA, Dr. Liangoumuan Samte, District Malaria Officer, Dr. Steve M. Tungnung, Sr. MO, CHC, Ravi Gangwar, IPS, SDPO, Churachandpur, Letkholun Haokip, EE, DRDA and other officials.
